CELTA Diploma Program

Due to popular demand, International House now offers this sought after certification for English language teaching to adults from Cambridge University.

The CELTA course is an excellent choice for those who are looking to teach in Europe or the Middle East, although this certification can be used worldwide. Our CELTA program meets the TESL Canada requirements, so it can also be used in Canada.

Our CELTA program is offered on a part time basis to make the transition from one career to ESL teaching a little easier. However, although this course is offered on a part time basis, students of the CELTA program must be prepared to spend at least another 10 hours of outside class work while taking the program.

During the program, teacher-trainees are observed both by their CELTA tutor as well as tutors who come directly from Cambridge in order to assure quality in every CELTA program that is taught.

Entrance Requirements

• Excellent command of the English language in all areas
• High school, college or university graduate
• Completed pre-interview tasks
• Interview with IH Course Coordinator
• Completed Application Form
