Each country has different requirements and regulations.

The airport is outside the city of Toronto and it takes about 20-30 minutes by taxi to reach downtown Toronto. If you plan to take public transportation, you will reach downtown Toronto in about one hour.

Taxis will cost you around $50.00 for a one-way trip.

You can always take the bus, which will cost you about $3.

If you are new to Toronto, we recommend the IHT Airport Reception Service. This way, you have someone waiting at the airport for you in case you need help with anything. If you've been here before and want to save some money, you can take a taxi or if you don't a have a lot of luggage, take a bus.

Most people use the public transportation system (the TTC) to travel around the city. This consists of using the subway trains, buses or a combination of both. The TTC is very safe, convenient and accessible. Subway trains start at about 6:00 am in the mornings and close at about 1:00 am at night. The buses follow a similar schedule and buses with routes on major streets operate 24 hours a day.
